Maternity - Best around 34-36 weeks along. Please make sure you schedule you newborn session right away as its best to get them in early!
The best times to get beautiful portraits of your newborns is two weeks old or younger
and 6-8 months old.
Newborns - Brand new babies look best when little or no clothing is used. It distracts from your newborn when they wear bulky or busy patterned clothing. However, if you have an outfit that you would like your child to wear please feel free to bring it along. Beanies, headbands and bracelets add a great modern touch to newborns. We recommend that the parents please wear black long sleeved shirts. Please bring along all the supplies you may need during the session so we will not have to leave during the session.
Sitting age babies - The most successful time to photograph a baby is when they have just learned to sit up. There is no limit on outfit changes. Usually we get one outfit change and lots of naked ones. Babies this age come alive when the clothes come off! Hats and beanies are a great touch at this age and Amber has many to choose from.
One year olds - A great age to get photos of your baby turning into a toddler. It's very sweet to bring a little birthday cake and let them go at it! The messier the better. Of course this would be done at the very end of the session. We also offer One year announcements!
Older children - Hats work great for this age. Have your child wear clothes that express their styles and personalities. We suggest you stay away from busy patterns, logos and bulky clothing. Bare feet and
jeans look so cute for boys and girls.
